【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverstwotypesofquenchenandtemperedsteelheavyhexstructuralboltshavingaminimumtensilestrengthof120ksiforsizes1.0inandlessand105ksiforsizesover1.0to11/2in,inclusive.Theboltsareintendedforuseinstructuralconnections.TheseconnectionsarecoveredundertherequirementsoftheSpecificationforStructuralJointsUsingASTMA325orA490Bolts,approvedbytheResearchCouncilonStructuralConnections,endorsedbytheAmericanInstituteofSteelConstructionandbytheIndustrialFastenerInstitute.Theboltsarefurnishedinsizes1/2to11/2in,inclusive.Thisspecificationisapplicabletoheavyhexstructuralboltsonly.Forboltsofotherconfigurationsandthreadlengthswithsimilarmechanicalproperties,seeSpecificationA449.TermsusedinthisspecificationaredefinedinTerminologyF1789.Thefollowingsafetyhazardcaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section10,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicablityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
